Henley Air Cadets

The Henley squadron of the air cadets held their annual meeting last Monday (24).

The Henley squadron of the air cadets held their annual meeting last Monday (24).

The meeting took place at the drill hall in Friday Street and was attended by the squadron’s seven cadets as well as members of the committee, Henley residents and town councillor Kellie Hinton.

The cadets are currently looking for new members aged between 12 and 17 to join the squadron.

Cllr Hinton said: “The cadets are a fantastic group. They work extremely hard and have a lot of fun and they deserve extra credit for their enthusiasm in enlarging the squadron.

“We have young people screaming out for stuff to do in Henley and I would urge them to get in touch with Tim and give the air cadets a try.

“The cadets attend and are part of big events such as the Remembrance Day parade and the Henley Show. They help Henley in Bloom with our litter campaign and are very much part of the community.”

The cadets meet every Monday and Thursday evening. For information about joining, call 07967 821220 or visit www.aircadets.tv/447
