12-bore shooting competition raises £300

MEMBERS of Marlow and Beaconsfield Freemasons raised more than £300 with a 12-bore shooting competition at the West London Shooting

MEMBERS of Marlow and Beaconsfield Freemasons raised more than £300 with a 12-bore shooting competition at the West London Shooting School at Northolt in Middlesex.

Representatives of the 20 lodges and 10 chapters in the masonic centre in Marlow beat their colleagues from Windsor End, Beaconsfield.

The prize money from the competition will go to the Teddies for Loving Care project, which gives cuddly toys to children in hospitals to reduce their fear of treatment.

Organiser Dave Hollis, 64, an engineer, from Hambleden, said: “Freemasonry is all about friendship, integrity and charity, so raising cash for the TLC project hit the bullseye for us. It was a productive and enjoyable day.”
