Comedy in pub garden

THE Chiltern Players are to perform outdoors at a pub in Sonning Common.

THE Chiltern Players are to perform outdoors at a pub in Sonning Common.

They will stage Breakfast For One in the grounds of the Butcher’s Arms in Blounts Court Road on September 19.

The play, written by David Foxton, is set in post-revolution France. It is a comedy of mistaken identities, shotguns and confusion with an unexpectedly happy ending for all concerned in similar style to ’Allo ‘Allo.

There will be a collection during the performance for cystic fibrosis.

On December 9, the group will host a murder mystery supper at Peppard War Memorial Hall.

This will involve cast members interacting with the audience during a performance of A Cracking Read.

There will be a prize for the groups that identify the murderer and guess the motive correctly.
