Rotary Club of Henley Bridge

PAUL HARRISON, a software developer by day, a local councillor in the evenings and an aerobatics

PAUL HARRISON, a software developer by day, a local councillor in the evenings and an aerobatics master in his spare time, has found time to join the club.

Rotarians were delighted to welcome Paul into Rotary with a short ceremony at their regular Wednesday evening meeting at Badgemore Golf Club on August 12.

Paul is currently vice-chairman of South Oxfordshire District Council and works for SAS software in Henley.

He says he is looking forward to taking part in the club’s various activities, including the half marathon sponsored by Invesco Perpetual and the 10km sponsored by the Henley Standard on October 11. Paul has joined the club just in time to be included in a visit to the club’s twinned club in Bad Oldesloe, Germany.

The club’s Texas Scramble social golf event for golfers of all standards will be held at Badgemore Park Golf Club on September 16 with the first tee time at around 2.15pm. We plan to play 12 holes and there will be a two-course meal afterwards.

Guests are very welcome. The costs is £25. If you’d like to take part, call Barry Stanley on (01491) 410073 or email barry@paragon independent.co.uk
