HENLEY YMCA’s appeal to buy housing for the town’s young people has received £12,000 in donations.

The money has been gifted by two trust funds which want to remain anonymous but have links to the area.

The branch has now raised £235,000 towards purchasing the 31 flats for young people at its complex in Lawson Road. It must raise £300,000 by the end of March 2017. Trustee Julian Brookes said: “Any contribution, however small, is welcome.”
