Pint-sized cubs

About 20 cubs from the 1st Sonning Common pack sang at carol service held at the Butcher’s Arms

About 20 cubs from the 1st Sonning Common pack sang at carol service held at the Butcher’s Arms pub in Blounts Court Road din the village.

About 50 people attended the service, where the carols included Ding Dong Merrily on High, Once in Royal David’s City, Silent Night and Noel. The children made a collection, which raised £100 to go towards new equipment.

Caroline Jones, who watched her son Ainsley Stoves, eight, perform, said: “It was lovely. Rob and Ellie Blues, who run the pub, asked the children to lead the carol singing. People through the whole pub were watching and joining in.”
