Monty Taylor, chairman of trustees at the Colostomy Association (left), was presented with a cheque for £400 by John Grout, president of Henley Rotary Club, after giving a talk about the Reading-based charity’s work to the club’s lunchtime meeting. Mr Taylor said the UK was well provided with equipment through the NHS but this was not true in parts of the third world, so the association had set up Ostomy Aid, which distributes bags abroad that are surplus to needs here or have been replaced by newer models. With 6,000 procedures a year, there was a continuing need for support, he said. The charity raises about £400,000 a year and has six staff
