MEMBERS held an exhibition of their work at the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley in March.
The event was sponsored by Henley Town Council, which provided a grant for the hire of the venue.
A wide variety of prints of different subjects was shown. This reflected the interests of the photographers.
Both prints and some exhibitors&rsquo photographic cards were on sale, enabling the club to boost its funds and helping to raise the profile of the club in Henley.
The club staged its last competition of the 2015-2016 season recently. Members voted for the best print that had scored highly in competitions during the past year. The winner was Dennis Craggs for a print entitled Three Early Risers.
At the annual prize giving Dennis also found that he had won the novice photographer of the year award. This is a competition held over five rounds where both prints and digital projected images are judged and scored. To win this award means getting good scores for up to 30 images throughout the season.
The intermediate photographer of the year was Wendy Reed. Luke Smith won the advanced section.
Other competitions held during the year included subjects such as natural history, black and white and audiovisual presentations. Winners of these one-off events included Pam Long, Owen Andrew, Sue Hatch and Tony Taylor.
