THE acting chief executive of South Oxfordshire District Council is to take the job permanently.
Mark Stone, who will also be responsible for the Vale of White Horse Disrtict Council, took over the role on a temporary basis in June after David Hill resigned.
Mr Stone, from Didcot, has worked in local government for more than 20 years.
The councils said his appointment followed a “rigorous” interview process with their joint staff committee.
