Pair ride for Britain

A BROTHER and sister competed at European showjumping events.

Tim and Anna Wilks, who are former pupils at the Piggott School in Wargrave, were part of the British team that travelled to Portugal and the Netherlands.

Tim, 21, secured joint second place for the team at the CSIO 3• FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup in Lisbon. 

 Riding Quelbora Merze, a 12-year-old chestnut gelding, he was one of a handful of riders to achieve two “clean” rounds with no penalties.

Anna, 19, rode a 12-year-old bay gelding called Undicci in the Young Riders Nations Cup in Wierden.



She had seven penalties in the first round and six in the second round as the team finished joint third.

The pair live in Rosehill, near Remenham.
