DOZENS of people attended a community fun day and picnic in Wargrave.

The second annual event was organised by housing services at Wokingham Borough Council and held at Kings Field, off Blakes Road.

There was a bouncy castle, climbing wall, face-painting, and a “grow your own” activity where children could learn about plants by decorating their own biodegradable plant pots and planting seeds to take home and nurture.

There was also a colouring contest and competitions such as guess the name of the teddy.

The council and Thames Valley Police had information stalls and Wokingham Mayor Bob Pitts, who represents the Remenham, Wargrave and Ruscombe ward, visited.

A council spokeswoman said: “Residents had great fun. Thanks to everyone for their positive feedback about the event.”
