These three girls are to take part in a professional ballet production of The Sleeping Beauty. Left to right, Olivia Rennie, 12, from Woodcote, Hayley Brown, 16, and Aoife Rosenmeier, 11, both from Henley, are rehearsing at the Oxford Academy. The performance will be presented by English Youth Ballet at the New Theatre, Oxford, from October 7 to 8 and will star international principal dancers. All the soloist and corps de ballet roles will be performed by 100 of the best dancers from Oxfordshire and beyond. Aoife, who attends the Abbey School in Reading and is training at Julia Rose Academy of Dance, said: “I started dancing lessons because I was always dancing around the house. I am really looking forward to seeing the principals dancing and I can’t wait for the costumes. When I am older I would like to be a prima ballerina with the Royal Ballet.”
