A GLADE of trees believed to have healing properties has been planted in Henley.
Members of the Be Well Centre, based at the King’s Arms Barn in Kings Road, helped Mayor Stefan Gawrysiak and the town council’s parks team to carry out the work.
The volunteers donated the nine rowan, elder and hawthorn trees. They planted them by a horseshoe of silver birches on Marsh Meadows near Marsh Lock.
Each tree was planted with a crystal, which is thought to protect it, and was watered with a dash of mead.
The team held hands and said a blessing after planting each one.
