Estate to host second charity vintage festival

A VINTAGE festival is to be held at the Fawley Hill estate for the second year running.

More than 12,500 attended last year’s event, which raised more than £150,000 for 35 charities and conservation groups. It was so successful that the beneficiaries persuaded hosts and organisers Sir William and Lady McAlpine to repeat the event.

This year’s festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18.

Attractions will include traction engines, a wide range of vintage bikes, cars, military and commercial vehicles, steam engines, planes and boats as well as animals, entertainers and live music.Visitors will also be able to enjoy steam-driven fairground rides.

Other highlights include Sam Brown and her 100 Ukuleles, the Wycombe Orpheus Male Voice Choir, Annie and the Doughboys, the Average Wife Band and Out Of Order.
