WATLINGTON town hall was chosen as the venue for the annual meeting of the Oxfordshire Buildings Record group.
The group aims to educate and promote research on significant buildings in the county.
As well as electing officers, members received feedback on a 2012 study of the structure of the hall and heard about the life of the building during its 350-year history.
Tim Horton, who chairs the hall’s trust body, said: “The group could pick from many of the finest buildings in Oxfordshire but felt that our hall offered the right mix and atmosphere and also all the practical advantages needed for a key meeting.
“It is 350 years since the gift of the hall by Thomas Stonor and this visit was part of the anniversary celebrations we are staging this year.”
