Golden girl

A HENLEY schoolgirl won gold in the year 3 category of the National Schools Aquathon.

Darcy Dryden, eight, who attends Rupert House School in Bell Street, swam 50m and ran 500m in a time of four minutes and 41 seconds.

A total 330 children from more than 25 prep schools took part in the event in Hertfordshire, including nine from Rupert House.

Judith Burnes, physical education teacher at Rupert House, said she was really proud of all the girls.

Darcy has been the Oxfordshire primary schools cross-country champion for the last two years.
