A SUMMER garden party was held at the Tower House care home in Shiplake.
Residents were joined by friends, family and guests including Henley Mayor Martin Akehurst, Deputy Mayor Jeni Wood and Rev Paul Bradish, vicar of St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Shiplake. Jazz band Tomcat played throughout the afternoon.
Manager Bridget Kidd said: “The party went very well. We were so blessed with the weather and everyone had a really good time.
“I’d like to thank Jeni Wood for all her help organising the party as well as Paul and, of course, the Mayor.” Councilor Akehrust said: “It was a lovely day and everyone looked happy and healthy. I was told that whenever the Mayor visits it’s a topic of conversation at meal times for weeks afterwards so I made sure to go round and speak to everyone.”
