THE second annual squash and pumpkin festival was held at the Hardwick Estate in Whitchurch on Sunday.
More than 1,000 people attended the event, where attractions included a farmers’ market, food sampling and a psychic offering readings to visitors in a greenhouse.
There were stalls throughout the estate selling goods such as preserves and knitwear and a bouncy castle, face-painting and Halloween-themed play area for children.
Organiser Tamara Tolhurst said more people attended the festival than last year.
“The weather was the greatest gift — it was miraculous,” she said. “People went home late in the day and were very happy.
