HENLEY has won a silver gilt at the Britain in Bloom competition for the second year running.
The town missed out on the top prize of a gold award at the Royal Horticultural Society’s national awards ceremony in Bristol on Thursday week.
Councillor Kellie Hinton, who chairs the Henley in Bloom committee, said: “It was an honour to be there as one of the 71 places in the country that get put through to national finals.
“We are absolutely thrilled to receive a silver gilt. Of course, we always want to do better and the judges have given us some really good feedback, which we will take on board.
“Every year we work with residents, businesses, local authorities and community groups and we do the best that we can for the town.
