THE Henley Standard unveiled its new-look website this week.

The revamped site — www.henleystandard.co.uk — looks fresher and has a host of new interactive features.

It has been redesigned with new sections and even better navigation to help users find their way around.

The home page now includes a more prominent video player, reflecting the popularity of Henley Standard TV, the paper’s online video section. Tweets are also more prominently displayed.

The site showcases more stories and entertainments news has a place on the main index page for the first time, while picture galleries and a trade directory have been rolled out.

Neil Ratcliffe, managing director of Higgs Group, publishers of the Standard, said the new site would create more commercial opportunities as well as boosting web traffic.

“The new home page is user-friendly and its design echoes the best practice of some of the world’s most popular and successful news websites,” he said.

The Standard’s new media strategist Narin Bahar said: “We are displaying our stories in a more structured way and showcasing the depth of content in the various sections, running to more than 50,000 pages of local news and information.

“Feedback so far has been positive and we look forward to continuing to grow numbers of unique users, page views and repeat visitors.”
