Mooring in peace

HENLEY Moorings are set in the very heart of one of the most prestigious towns on the Thames right next

HENLEY Moorings are set in the very heart of one of the most prestigious towns on the Thames right next to Henley Bridge. The moorings are ideally situated to enjoy the many events held in Henley during the year including the regatta, the Traditional Boat Rally and the Rewind music festival.

With experience gained through the extensive refurbishment of the Bourne End Marina and Saxon Moorings at Old Windsor, Sorbon Estates were well equipped to refurbish and upgrade the moorings to floating moorings in Henley — the first of their kind on this stretch of the Thames. During the long winter months exceptionally high water levels were experienced and the new moorings proved to be a major asset to boat owners mooring there.

The floating pontoons rose with the high water affording boat owners peace of mind that their boats were safe and secure. Not having to adjust the ropes daily was a huge advantage to the owners particularly during severe weather conditions when only essential travel was advised.

A further benefit following the upgrading has been the installation of mains electricity which enables boat owners to keep the boats dry and batteries fully charged over the winter period. Call Scott McKenzie on 01494 671331 to secure a place.
