Celebrate composer

A CONCERT will be held in Peppard to celebrate the centenary of composer Benjamin Britten.

A CONCERT will be held in Peppard to celebrate the centenary of composer Benjamin Britten.

The Occasional Song Ensemble will perform at All Saints’ Church next Saturday (April 20) at 2.30pm.

Entry is free but a collection will be made on behalf of the Sue Ryder hospice at Nettlebed.

Britten, who was born in 1913, was also a conductor and pianist whose best-known works include Peter Grimes and The Young Person’s Guide Tp The Orchestra. He died in 1976.
