Lily finds new home

LILY the troublesome kitten has found a home thanks to the Henley Standard.

LILY the troublesome kitten has found a home thanks to the Henley Standard.

Cat fosterer Sue Nickson issued an appeal two weeks ago for someone to care for the 11-month-old, who is pure white with gold eyes.

Lily, who has a tendency to lash out when stroked, had been living with Mrs Nickson in Peppard on and off for three months.

Two people had taken her home but returned her within a few days.

Now she has been adopted by a woman living in theHenley area, who did not want to be named but already has three cats and three dogs.

Mrs Nickson, who has been a volunteer with Thames Valley Animal Welfare for 25 years, said: “I am very pleased that Lily has found a home, especially as the lady was the only person who responded to the article.

“She already has a cat that behaves very much like Lily, which was why she was not fazed by the idea of having her.”

The charity still has cats and kittens looking for homes. For more information, call Monica on 01494 484527 or Ann on 0118 972 1871 or visit www.tvaw.org.uk
