Station commander, RAF Benson: Why I wear a poppy

I WEAR a poppy as a symbol of remembrance for the brave men and women who have fought for their country, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

I WEAR a poppy as a symbol of remembrance for the brave men and women who have fought for their country, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Although only worn for a brief period, remembrance is not just for one day and all donations to the Royal British Legion during the Poppy Appeal support the families of all those who have served and continue to serve their country in the UK armed forces.

Quite simply, I wear my poppy with pride because I am grateful to all those who have served before me and proud of my service to my country.
