A SECOND plaque commemorating soldiers from Henley who died in the First World War has been unveiled.
The plaque featuring the names of almost 300 soldiers is at Holy Trinity Church in Greys Hill.
It is one of three commissioned as part of the Lest We Forget project to mark the centenary of the war.
The first plaque was unveiled at the town hall in August and the third is due to be installed at St Mary’s Church.
The project was started by amateur historian Mike Willoughby, from Woodcote, to commemorate the servicemen from Henley and the surrounding villages who died as result of the war.
The project was funded by a National Lottery grant and Higgs Group, publisher of the Henley Standard.
