INTERIOR designer and TV presenter Julia Kendell will appear at the first Henley House and Garden Show this weekend.
Ms Kendell, who appeared on the BBC?s DIY SOS and ITV?s 60 Minute Makeover, will give tips and advice on kitchen design at the town hall tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm.
She will cover how to plan a kitchen revamp and how to complete a project on a budget.
The two-day show is the brainchild of Henley interior designer Niki Schäfer, of Walton Avenue, and will be compered by Nick Knowles, presenter of DIY SOS.
Ms Kendell, who used to live in Henley, contacted Mrs Schäfer to ask if she could take part.
She said: ?I saw Niki talking about the show and thought it?s such a wonderful thing to have in Henley. I am thrilled she has got it up and running.
?It?s a subject that most people are interested in and I think the show is going to be a lot of fun.?
Talking about her session, Ms Kendell said: ?It?s really to let people know what the latest trends are, how to use space, how to design aesthetically and ergonomically and how they can do that on a budget.
?The kitchen has become probably the most important room in the house in recent decades, I would say. It?s an area I?m pretty passionate about.?
Ms Kendell, who now lives in Knowl Hill, said the show would be a good addition to Henley?s other festivals and urged people to visit it. ?It?s something Henley needs and well done to Niki for putting so much effort into creating this event for the town.
?Hopefully, it will become an annual occurence.?
There will be a range of exhibitors and workshops as well as speakers over the weekend.
The show is supported by the Henley Standard.
