A BOAT that was restored by Hambleden boatbuilders Henwood & Dean has been nominated for an award.

Lady Charlotte, a 43ft electric launch, is a finalist in the powerboat of the year category of Classic Boat magazine?s awards.

The winner, who is decided by a public vote, will be announced in May.

The boat was named The Flying Fox when it was built in 1914 by J Crichton & Co as a passenger launch for use on the River Dee in Chester. It had a succession of owners before being brought to Henwood & Dean in 2009.
