THIS year’s Stoke Row Steam Rally will place next weekend (June 20 and 21) at a new venue.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the 34th annual event at Hill Bottom, Whitchurch Hill.

Attractions will include more than 20 vintage steam engines, vintage tractors, classic cars, military vehicles and motorcycles.

There will also be classic fairground rides, animals, trade stands and a real ale marquee with live music.

Visitors can also see a tree-sawing display and enjoy a steam engine ride around the site.

The show will be topped off with a fly-past by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Show organiser Tony Waistell said: “We are so excited to put on a far bigger show at our new venue this year and can’t wait to see the reaction to all the new attractions and features.”

This year’s rally will be in aid of Daisy’s Dream, a charity which provides support for children and their families who have been affected by life-threatening illness or bereavement of someone close to them.

Tickets cost £7 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and £3 for children aged five to 12 (under-fives go free) and can be bought on the day. There is free parking on site from 10am.
