MORE than 200 people attended a summer fete in aid of Kidmore End Pre-School.
About £2,300 was raised at the event, which was held at Kidmore End Primary School on Saturday.
Attractions included tractor rides, a treasure hunt, bouncy castle, welly wanging and a children’s tug o’ war contest.
There was also a raffle and silent auction with prizes including a paintballing trip and a picnic hamper. Activities for pre-school age children included face painting, bead making, a lucky dip and hook-a-duck.
Refreshments included home-made cakes and a hog roast made by Paul Jenkins, from Kidmore End.
Nicole Billington, who organised the fete, said the money raised would pay for new equipment at the pre-school, probably for outdoors.
Mrs Billington, whose two sons, Charlie, four and George, two, attend the pre-school, added: “We don’t have any funding for equipment so this will make a real difference.”
