, £150 to the Village Gardeners and £100 to both the skate park and the primary school’s after- school art and garden clubs.

Elaine Williams, who founded the choir with Margaret Moola in 2010, said the money was the proceeds from ticket sales, a raffle, bottle tombola and stall at its summer concert in June. Ms Moola added: “We live in a fantastic community â?? there are so many people working very hard on a voluntary basis to make life better for as many people as possible. We have got needs right across the age range. It’s an opportunity to contribute to the society that makes us feel so welcome since we came to live in it.”
