THE annual Whitchurch fete raised about £4,000 for the village pre-school.
A dunking tank, trampoline and inflatable slide were among the attractions at the 39th annual event on the village green on Saturday.
There were about 25 stalls selling crafts and food, a circus workshop where children could learn how to juggle or spin plates and a story tent.
Bertie Slippers entertained children and the Beenham Wind Orchestra performed.
A dog show featured classes including best biscuit catcher, dog with the waggiest tail and dog who looks most like its owner.
There was also a raffle with a top prize of a voucher for a day at Nirvana Spa.
Teas and coffees were provided by the Camper Cafe and there was a barbecue.
The compere was Graham Dednum, landlord of the Ferryboat Inn in the village.
Organiser Emily Dalton said: “It went exceptionally well. There was a really big crowd and the weather held. We’re really pleased with the amount raised — it will go along way to supporting our work.”
The money will help with the pre-school’s running costs and upkeep.
