Bodies repatriated of killed RAF officers

THE bodies of two RAF officers killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan have been repatriated.

An aircraft carrying Fl Lt Geraint Roberts, from north Wales, and Fl Lt Alan Scott, from London, landed at RAF Brize Norton on Tuesday.

The men belonged to the Puma helicopter force, based at RAF Benson.

Their Puma Mk2 crashed as it was landing at Nato?s Resolute Support mission headquarters in Kabul on October 11, killing five people on board and injuring another five.

The Ministry of Defence said the incident was an accident and not the result of an attack.
