A TRIBUTE has been paid to Arthur Badcock, a former chairman and clerk of Sonning Common Parish Council, who died recently.
Speaking at a council meeting, current chairman Douglas Kedge said: “In the Nineties he was a district and parish councillor. He worked hard for the district and  village.
“He also took on the role of clerk. He was a man of total integrity and quite meticulous in his knowledge of the council’s standing orders.
“We send our deepest sympathy to his family.”
The council was represented at Mr Badcock’s funeral by Councillor Kedge and Councillor Barrie Greenwood.
