MORE than 120 people attended Upper Thames Rowing Club?s annual dinner in the ballroom at Phyllis Court Club in Henley on Saturday.

Past and present rowers from the club in Remenham attended, including captain Justin Sutherland and chairman John Pilgrim-Morris, who both gave speeches.

Guests gathered for drinks before sitting down to a three-course meal at tables decorated in blue and white balloons, the club?s colours.

Social secretary Pippa Birch said: ?We hold it every year to celebrate the season just gone and it?s about getting everyone from the club together. We had 126 people, which was fewer than last year but after the success of that season it was bound to be.

?Everyone seemed to have a good time ? it was hard to get them to leave at the end!?

There are more pictures from the dinner in this week's Henley Standard.
