The town’s seven lodges, along with 48 more in Oxfordshire, gave away more than £30,000 to charity last year. The event was held at Temple Island Lodge in Reading Road and was attended by James Hilditch, provincial Grand Master for Oxfordshire (centre) and representatives from several charities who received cheques including Henley Riding for the Disabled, the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust and Alexander Devine children’s hospice.
