TWO former students of the Oratory School in Woodcote have won awards for their exam results.
Sam Yaxley and Oliver Davies were among 26 candidates who scored the highest marks nationally in last summer’s Cambridge Pre-U tests.
The pair, who studied graphic communication and art and design, were presented with certificates by examining body Cambridge International Examinations.
The Pre-U was launched in 2008 and its top grade of D1 is valued more highly by universities than an A* pass at  A-level.
Paul Tomlinson, head of art at the Oratory, said the awards were a recognition of Sam and Oliver’s talent, enthusiasm and commitment.
