THE third annual Henley Hope Festival will take place from next Friday to Sunday (March 18 to 20).
It is organised by Henley Baptist Church in association with Churches Together in Henley and involves a series of activities and free community events.
It will begin at 10am on the Friday with a childrens’ play session and Easter egg hunt at the d:two centre in Market Place. Refreshments will be available for parents.
At 8am the following day there will be a men’s breakfast at the Argyll pub in Market Place. This will include a talk by guest speaker Steve Thomas called “Being a man in today’s world.”
There will be an activity morning for children aged five to 10 at the d:two centre from 10am. There will be an egg hunt, songs, crafts, stories and games with prizes. A free soup lunch will be served from 11am to 1pm.
That afternoon, members of the church will help residents with simple household or gardening tasks.
The centre will then host a free youth film night from 6pm until 8pm, including pizza and ice cream.
At 10.30am on the Sunday, the venue will host a “back to church” service for families who have not attended church for some time.
