Children at the Heights Primary School in Caversham were asked to choose a favourite book to bring into school to share with their classmates. To add to the excitement, they each dressed as a character from their book of choice and the teachers joined in. There were characters from Peter Rabbit, The Cat in the Hat, Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz, among many others. Headteacher Karen Edwards said: “What a fantastic way to bring books to life. The children are already planning a trip to Caversham library to research next year’s costumes!”
