MAGICIAN Paul Daniels was laid to rest on Friday.
The private funeral service for family and close friends took place at the the Chilterns Crematorium in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
A white coffin adorned with two joker cards was carried into the Milton Chapel after arriving in a hearse.
The 77-year-old entertainer’s widow Debbie McGee, with whom he lived in Wargrave, had written a note that was on top of the coffin. It read: “Love you always, Debbie.”
It was accompanied by red roses, a silver wand and a blue pillow.
Daniels’s three sons, Paul, Gary and Martin, attended the service as well as actress Bonnie Langford and TV presenter Gloria Hunniford.
The magician died at his home last month just weeks after announcing he had an inoperable brain tumour.
A public memorial service is due to take place later.
