THERE was almost a rogue dog involved in Lady McAlpine’s attempt to set a world record for the most Labradors together in one place at her Fawley Hill vintage extravaganza on Sunday.

Among the animals attempting to join the parade was Humphrey, who belongs to Henley town councillor Sam Evans. There was only one problem — he is a golden retriever.

This fact wasn’t lost on TV compere Ben Fogle, who jokingly branded Sam and Humphrey “imposters”.

As it was, there were 151 Labradors present and Lady McAlpine is confident that a Guinness World Record awaits.
