A CHILDREN&rsquoS obstacle race is to take place on the Culden Faw Estate for the fourth

A CHILDREN&rsquoS obstacle race is to take place on the Culden Faw Estate for the fourth year running.

More than 5,000 youngsters from as far as America are expected to take part in Little Welly Goes Wild on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26.

The event will feature a 3km course with obstacles including a tyre mountain and foam pit. Every child who completes the course will receive a medal.

Local musicians will perform and refreshments will be available.

The event was founded by Rachel Hughes, of Marmion Road, Henley, in 2012 and is now the biggest event of its kind in the country.

Ms Hughes said: “My siblings and I were raised to love, appreciate and explore the great outdoors and I&rsquom passionate about instilling these values in the next generation.

“I worry that a sense of fun, freedom and wildness is lost on some of today&rsquos kids and through Little Welly Goes Wild I hope to introduce all youngsters to the allure of Mother Nature.”
