ABOUT 80 people attended a party for the Queen’s 90th birthday in Crazies Hill.
The event on Saturday evening was organised by the residents’ association and held in the village hall.
The hall was decorated with bunting and Union flags.
There was a barbecue, ice-creams and games for children.
William Jones, four, won the best dressed royal contest with his sailor’s outfit. His prize was a box of chocolates.
Dave Smith, chairman of the association, said: “We had a great time. It was good given the weather as people still turned out despite the showers.
“It’s important to do these events because the Queen represents stability and tradition in our country.
“That is something we hold in high value in Crazies Hill and Cockpole Green.”
