RESIDENTS of Britwell Salome celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with a street party outside the village hall.
Activities included a chalk drawing competition in the street, the Queen’s walk treasure hunt quiz, boules and many other games.
There was also a magnificent birthday cake.
Organiser Julia Wells said about 100 had attended with villagers bringing their own food.
She said: “It was amazing because it was all local people.
A couple of people who had left the village wanted to come back for the party — they would wouldn’t have missed it for anything!
“It was absolutely brilliant because we had been expecting rain and no rain fell so we were delighted,” she said.
Mrs Wells thanked her fellow organiser Oliver Cointre and resident Geoff Whittaker for helping out.
