PUPILS and staff at Watlington Primary School wore clothes to reflect the decades of the Queen’s life.

They had a lunch of fish and chips along with celebration cakes and sang Happy Birthday to Her Majesty.

The children had designed their own crowns which they wore at the party. Headteacher Matthew Attree said: “It’s about the children’s understanding of the country they live in and the significance and importance the Queen plays in that.

“It’s always great to have a celebration where we can draw everyone together as a school community and celebrate something of national significance.”
