Win £500 for you and £3,000 for charity

HENLEY once again takes centre stage as locals are asked to take photographs to show off

HENLEY once again takes centre stage as locals are asked to take photographs to show off the town and its surrounds as a great place to live.

Entrants in the Romans-run The Local Picture competition can win up to £500 in House of Fraser vouchers and nominate a local charity of their choice to win up to £3,000.

“Romans has worked in the local property market since 1987 so we know the area extremely well,” said Julian Sheppard, sales manager at the local branch in Hart Street. “But we always want to learn more about what makes Henley so special to the people who live here.

“Whether it’s a local landmark or event, like the Royal Regatta, beautiful landscape or eye-catching architecture, such as Nuffield Place, everyone loves different things about Henley-on-Thames.

“The Local Picture gives you the chance to show us what really matters to you and what makes you love your town, as well as supporting local charities.”

The photography competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over, whether you’re a professional or an amateur; you can only enter one photograph, so make sure it’s your best one.

Three winners will be chosen by judges, including a professional photographer, and one by the public, so even if you don’t enter you can still vote for your favourite photos.

The four prizes are:

Public vote winner â?? £500 voucher plus Â3,000 donation to a local charity of your choice

Judges’ vote, first place â?? £500 voucher plus £1,000 donation to a local charity of your choice

Judges’ vote, second place â?? £250 voucher plus £500 donation to a local charity of your choice

Judges’ vote, third place â?? £250 voucher plus £500 donation to a local charity of your choice

The rules are simple: photographs must be taken within an area in whcih Romans estate and letting agencies operate. For the full details and to enter or vote, visit www.romans.co.uk/thelocalpicture. Closing date for entries is May 29.
