World record challenge for Wargrave children

CHILDREN in Wargrave can take part in a world record—themed reading challenge this summer.

CHILDREN in Wargrave can take part in a world record—themed reading challenge this summer.

Wargrave library is taking part in the countywide initiative, where youngsters will be encouraged to read six books over their summer holidays.

They will be given stickers along the way, as well as a medal and certificate for taking part. The challenge started on Saturday, July 11 and will run until Sunday, September 13.

Councillor Pauline Jorgensen, Wokingham Borough Council’s executive member for resident services, said: “Wokingham borough’s libraries are full of wonderful children’s books to enjoy.”
