GARDEN waste collections have increased by five per cent in South Oxfordshire since the introduction of a permit scheme.
The scheme was launched six months ago and provides customers with a sticker permit to be affixed to their bins to identify them as having paid for waste collections.
A total of 67,100 permits have been bought, up from 63,900 under the previous direct debit scheme.
The new scheme also offers an online account system through which customers can renew their permits annually.
Customers will also be able to have additional waste collected on their normal collection day between October 27 and November 7.
