GORING Parish Council has two new members.

GORING Parish Council has two new members.

Mary Bulmer, who resigned on health grounds four years ago, has returned while Catherine Hall is new to the council.

Mrs Bulmer, 61, was first elected in 2005 and previously served on Streatley Parish Council for 14 years.

She lives in Springhill Road with her husband Kevin, who is the council’s vice-chairman and Goring’s representative on Oxfordshire County Council.

Mrs Bulmer said: “I have always enjoyed parish council work and have missed it.”

Ms Hall, a chartered architect who works from her home in Fairfield Road, is a member of South Oxfordshire District Council’s design review panel, which provides expert advice on complex planning applications.

She holds both a Royal Institute of British Architects Award and a Civic Trust Award.

Both women were co-opted on to the council, which still has five vacancies. Applicants should call the parish clerk on (01491) 874444 or email
