HARPSDEN booked a place in the Chilterns league cup final for the first time after beating BINFIELD by six wickets on Monday last week.
Despite losing the toss and being asked to bowl first on a good batting deck, Harpsden started well with Birkett taking two early wickets.
Lee and Marshall fought back to take them up to 95-5 only for Binfield to be pegged back by some excellent bowling by skipper Whittaker and some outstanding fielding restricted them to 122 off their 20 overs.
In reply, Harpsden reached 33 without loss after three overs but a mini collapse left them 82-4. Then in came Bryan whose mix of defending and big-hitting put them back in it. He sealed the win with a six over long-on to finish on 40 not out.
Harpsden will now play Taplow in the final July 22nd at 6pm, at Coleshill Cricket Club.
