TURVILLE PARK hosted FLYCATCHERS at Turville Heath on Sunday in a friendly which swung back and forth through the afternoon.
Batting first, Turville was reduced to 36-5 after some tight bowling by the Banks brothers who finished with seven wickets between them in 19 overs.
Flycatchers held some excellent catches and looked in complete control. Sam Beardall managed to steady the ship with some patient batting, eventually unleashing his full-range of strokes and compiling a vital 75.
Sam was ably assisted by Dom Markhall, with 38, and Jon Hancock, with 24, and Turville finished on 177.
Flycatchers reached 97-1 in reply, with Briggs making a half-century before James Hunt removed him with a hooping in-swinger, sparking a collapse. They lost nine wickets for 41 runs, finishing with 138.
Ollie Thornton took 4-20 off his six overs and Jon Hancock took 2-26 off his 11 overs.
